DEAL works with people who've had a stroke or a heart attack.


After someone's had a stroke they can develop speech or language problems.  Sometimes these can be assisted with communication devices, and DEAL can help with that.  The effect can sometimes be like that of dementia or confusion on older people, and so it may be worth referring to DEAL's recommendations in that area
